Bo Diddley,  The Coasters, The Drifters, and The Platters; all Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, as well as The Marvelettes and Garth Brooks' guitarist, Ty England. Mike McCraw is the common thread for all of these musical artists.  What is it that helps Mike land these gigs?  What secrets does he possess to please these demanding artists? 

It could be Mike's love for the song, and not just a show of chops and technique.  Maybe it is simply his love of  the drums themselves and the great joy he receives from teaching even the most green students. 

Having been around the drums for the majority of  his life, Mike has studied with the masters such as Zoro, Gregg Bissonette, Mark Schulmann, Carl Allen, Jim Chapin and Ed Soph, gleaning not only drumming wisdom, but also insights into the music business world itself!

This past summer marked my playing on a fine Country Artist's debut CD; Scott King! The debut disc can be had through iTunes and there isn't any pretending; Scott is a Country singer and songwriter through and through - the real deal!!! More shows with the soul bands have come and will be scheduled as well!!
